Go into it

That’s right. When you’re feeling fear, pain or a bit of nausea … whatever, go into it.Go into it? Are you kidding me? Wouldn’t I be better off trying to avoid going into such things? Or better off finding a way to numb or hide away from experiencing such uncomfortable situations? No.These uncomfortable situations are appearing in your life because:You are now strong enough to address the underlying causes of these discomforts. It is time for you to do exactly that. The pain or discomfort you are feeling is God’s way of getting your attention. It’s time to give a neglected, stuffed-away or forgotten aspect of yourself the acknowledgment, love, and appreciation it not only needs but deserves. So how do you go into it? Simple. When a fear or discomfort arises:If it all possible, stop whatever you are doing.Find a private place.Calm your mind and let your attention sink into the discomfort.Give into it.After doing so, ask this question “What is [...]

Chemicalization

Did you ever notice that significant breakthroughs or accomplishments in your life are often followed by what appear to be major attacks or setbacks?I sure have.In fact, this has happened in my life so often that I have found myself not feeling safe enough to celebrate the breakthroughs and instead, ducking to avoid being cold-cocked by the cosmic blow that I am sure is on its way … or simply just running for cover. So prominent has my knee-jerk reaction been in this area of my life that I can honestly say it has created a major deterrent to accepting the peace and success I so crave. Which is exactly why I have decided to address this topic, because I feel you may be plagued by the same sort of inappropriate reaction to success in your life as well.I see this routinely happen at my writing retreats, especially with first-time authors. [...]

Books Behind Bars Program

It was my first time going behind bars. The prison I would be entering was in the little, dusty town of Cleveland, Texas, about an hour outside Houston. Thank God I would be going behind bars as an invited guest who could walk right back out those same doors any time I chose. Knowing that didn’t make me any less nervous, though. I simply had no idea what to expect. After crossing into the inside of the prison, the first thing I heard was the loud roar of dozens of voices echoing from a distance down the solid brick and concrete hallways. In response, my first thought was that a prison riot was going on. I took a moment to glance in the direction of the guards who were accompanying us through the prison. Surely, if a riot was transpiring they would be on full alert, but each seemed as [...]

Connecting With Your Divine Author Within (DAW)

You may have heard me say this before. If that is the case, I sincerely apologize, but this is worth reiterating time and time and time again:“Writing is an all-or-nothing art form. Either you’re in your Divine Author Within (DAW) or you’re not. There is no gray area with writing. There’s only black or white. Either you are in the DAW state and you’re writing is great, or you are not in that state and your writing sucks. Period.”Why is this fact so important that it needs to be repeated time after time, over and over? Because (I know I am repeating myself …sorry … but it deserves repeating), from my experience, what I have come to realize clearly is that all of the great writing (as can be tracked back to their experiences) were produced while the author was in a deep, almost a oneness sort of direct connection with his/her [...]

The Best Time of Year to Release Your Book

Like everything else, book publishing has its seasons. There are times when people are more anxious to purchase books and times when they are less eager.Aligning your hard release date to when readers normally spend their hard-earned cash can significantly increase your chances of accomplishing your sales goals. The book-buying season when readers are most anxious to purchase books runs from the very early fall into the early winter months, or from the end of August until the first few weeks of December. That’s the good news. The bad news is that you may be rapidly running out of time to get your book set up for that season. To take full advantage of the sales season, you want to release your book as early in that season as possible. Before the airwaves get too crowded with readers talking about other books. So to fit your book into that sales flow for this year, what [...]

A Summation of How the Most Divine Connections are Established through Writing

I am not going to go into any sort of lengthy dissertation regarding writing a book or how to do so in a weekend, as I’ve already covered those topics in previous works. However, I do feel it necessary to cover the basics on how this most divine connection through writing can be re-established in your life. There’s no need for a struggle or fight. You won’t be required to live in an ashram in India and study meditation for decades. It doesn’t matter one bit what leads you to the point of deciding to take this step. For myself and the many who want more out of their lives, it was desperation. This finally led me to open up to the greatness of Spirit. Maybe your own faith has led you to this step. It doesn’t matter what got you here; all that matters is that you have arrived. Again, [...]
